Welcome to Insight into Health, my radio show on listener-supported KSVY 91.3, where I explore ways to make healthy living realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable. I am your host, Allison McKeany, and these are the show notes for the live radio show that aired on June 8, 2026

Hey! Did you hear that I have a new podcast? Here’s the first episode, which came out last Wednesday:

Beyond the What: Allison’s new podcast

Hey there, it’s here. I kicked off this episode by turning the tables on Allison and asking her some questions about her new podcast.

Local Happenings: Hornwell Honeypicker Series Premiere!

Allison was joined by Michael Heffler, author of two children’s books that have been made into animated short films and will be shown at Sebastiani Theatre THIS Saturday, June 13th, at 1 pm.

The first film, “Hornwell Honeypicker, The Flying Pig,” teaches a young boy that when he faces his fears, being kind to himself is the first step to making the best decision.

The second film, “How Do I Get Smarter...and Happier?” offers advice that Michael wishes he’d had when he was younger — that we each have a choice in our happiness and that gratitude goes a long way.

Both films will be shown at the Sebastiani Theatre on Saturday, June 13, at 1 pm. Reserve your spot!

Ok, so I just read this book… Beyond Belief

Lyle here, again. Ok, so I just read this book, and Allison hasn’t read it (yet). It’s called Beyond Belief by Nir Eyal. I met him many years ago when I was trying to make a go of it in the tech world, and we even collaborated on an article at one point.

In this segment, I share some of the ideas in this fascinating book. I highly recommend checking out the book if you’re looking to move beyond some belief patterns that might be holding you back.

Thanks for being here,

Allison & Lyle
