Welcome to Insight into Health, my radio show on listener-supported KSVY 91.3, where I explore ways to make healthy living realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable. I am your host, Allison McKeany, and these are the show notes for the live radio show that aired on June 15, 2026
Listen to the episode:
Let’s Talk #1: Dr. Sandi Spencer
I was joined by my stepsister, Sandi, all the way from Vancouver, BC, to talk about her cancer research work with the BC Research Institute. With a PhD in chemistry, Sandi works with other researchers and healthcare teams to help identify types of cancers using mass spectrometry. This research has been an important part of the exciting advancements in cancer care, including immunotherapy and more personalized cancer therapies.
Let’s Talk #2: Regina Gregor, CMT
I met Regina less than a week ago as a fellow practitioner serving Cancer Support Sonoma. Regina talked about her 22 years of experience as a massage therapist, and eccentrics & MELT Method classes at the Sonoma Community Center.
Regina then taught me about her approach to addressing the lymphatic system, scar tissue, and fascia, as well as the exhibition by Chiharu Shiota at the Asian Art Museum, which she has now visited twice due to the inspiring stories and breathtaking visual art installation.
Thanks for being here,
Allison
